Deep cleaning vs standard cleaning is the most common question we hear from new customers. They are not the same service, and choosing the right one saves you money and gets you a better result. Here is exactly what separates them.

What a standard cleaning covers

A standard cleaning is maintenance cleaning that keeps a home consistently fresh on a weekly, every-two-week, or every-four-week rhythm. It includes top-to-bottom dusting, vacuuming and mopping all floors, sanitizing bathrooms and the kitchen, surface-wiping appliances, making beds, and removing trash.

What a deep cleaning covers

A deep cleaning is a full reset that reaches everything a standard clean does not get to every visit. Expect hand-wiped baseboards, scrubbed grout, the inside of the oven and refrigerator, ceiling fans and vents, windowsills and tracks, and detailed cabinet exteriors. It takes roughly 1.5 to 2 times as long as a standard clean.

Which one does your home need?

Almost every first-time customer should start with a deep clean. It brings the home to a baseline that a recurring standard clean can then maintain for far less. If your home has been professionally cleaned within the last few weeks, a standard clean is usually enough.

  • First clean ever, or months since the last one: start with a deep clean.
  • Already on a schedule and well maintained: a standard clean keeps it perfect.
  • Moving in or out of a home: choose a move-in / move-out clean instead.
