Why we exist
Stop Cleaning. Start Living in Merritt Island.
You work all week. You get home. The house needs attention again — counters, floors, bathrooms, dust that showed up two days after you cleaned. Saturday morning rolls around and instead of doing what you actually want, you're scrubbing toilets and mopping floors.
The house gets clean. But you're exhausted. And by Wednesday, it looks like you never touched it.
Meanwhile, the things that actually matter to you — time with your kids, your business, your health, a Saturday that feels like a Saturday — keep getting pushed to "next week."
You shouldn't have to choose between a clean home and a life you enjoy. That's a trade-off that doesn't need to exist.

Life is busy. Cleaning eats up your time and energy. Mess piles up fast, and weekends disappear into chores. Worst of all, most cleaners rush through the job — leaving you disappointed.
What this looks like in Merritt Island
Standard Cleaning in Merritt Island, FL — recurring maintenance cleaning for a home that stays in shape. Go recurring (weekly, every two weeks, or every four weeks) for the same crew every visit plus a frequency discount. The price you see is the price you pay. Part of our Treasure Coast & Space Coast service area.
Standard cleaning on Merritt Island works with an interior environment shaped by two water bodies — the Indian River to the west and the Banana River to the east. The humidity those rivers create is more persistent than at purely ocean-facing addresses because there's less directional breeze to clear it. Waterfront homes along South Tropical Trail and Sykes Creek accumulate algae-bloom pollen from the rivers on their screen lanais and exterior-facing surfaces seasonally. Newer builds toward North Merritt Island along Courtenay Parkway have stamped concrete, LVP flooring, and tile pool decks that make the cleaning efficient and predictable. The same crew every visit on a recurring schedule develops an understanding of which surfaces in each home need the most attention.
Merritt Island sits between the Indian and Banana rivers, so every clean here factors in humidity and the pollen drifts that come off the marshes. The waterfront properties along the canals south of SR-520 and out toward South Tropical Trail are typically open-floor-plan homes with lots of glass, big lanais and screen rooms. North Merritt Island toward Courtenay Parkway leans newer-build with stamped-concrete drives and tile pool decks. When you go recurring you get the same crew every visit, and you get a written guaranteed quote with no in-person estimate.
From Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge outward, Merritt Island is one of the areas we already cover week to week (32952, 32953), and standard cleaning runs on that same schedule.
A property in North Merritt Island and one in Newfound Harbor rarely need the same visit, so we size standard cleaning to what is in front of us instead of to a package. The written price follows the space, not the ZIP.
Everything is written before we start — the scope, the price, the schedule — and it stays written. Inside 32952, 32953 there is no travel surcharge, no subcontracting, and no rotating strangers on your neighborhood route.
Standard Cleaning by Merritt Island area
- North Merritt Island — standard cleaning sized to the home in front of us, every product and tool included.
- South Tropical Trail (32953) — same background-checked crew each visit, no minimum-distance charge.
- Sykes Creek (32952) — standard cleaning on the same Merritt Island route, by the crew that already knows these streets.
- Newfound Harbor (32953) — standard cleaning on the same Merritt Island route, by the crew that already knows these streets.
Make your life easier. Save your energy. Enjoy a cleaner, calmer home — week after week.

I have had Captain Duster twice one for a deeper cleaning and today for a monthly cleaning. Alyssa is very thorough and may I add warm and friendly. I have Italian tile floors throughout which I am constantly going over at least every other day. I also don’t know how the dust seems to so readily appear and I do appreciate the help to give my home that polished look! Thank you Alyssa and Captain Duster

I’ve used Captain Duster for a few months now and they are always very professional and on time, and the owner is great at communicating about upcoming cleanings and inquiring about my satisfaction with the job each time. They use high quality products (like Mrs. Meyers) and clean efficiently within the set timeframe. Joanna has done most of our cleanings and she has been great!

We wanted to give this cleaning company a try after having one that didn't seem to actually clean. Kaitlyn did our first service today, and we are so happy we made the switch. We didn't expect this level of clean and we're thrilled. Even our cat's food bowl was washed!

FAQ
Do You Have Any Question?
How much does standard cleaning cost in Merritt Island?
Bedrooms, bathrooms, condition and frequency set the price. Every Merritt Island ZIP (32952, 32953) is charged the same way. The written, guaranteed quote comes back and the price you see is the price you pay.
What do your Merritt Island crews actually do on a standard cleaning visit?
Top-to-bottom dusting, full kitchen and bathroom sanitizing, vacuuming and mopping every floor, and trash removal. Add-ons — bed making, linen changes, inside the oven, inside the fridge, windows, laundry — are quoted separately.
Do I need to have anything ready in Merritt Island?
We bring it all. No shopping list, nothing to leave on the counter — the crew arrives at your Merritt Island address with every product and tool the visit needs.
Can I get standard cleaning in Merritt Island on a recurring schedule?
Yes. Going recurring is how most Merritt Island homes book it: weekly, biweekly or every four weeks, the same crew each time, a frequency discount, and a lower rate again if you prepay.
Do you cover all of Merritt Island for standard cleaning?
All of it. North Merritt Island, South Tropical Trail, Sykes Creek and every address inside 32952, 32953 is on the route, with no minimum-distance trip charge anywhere in Merritt Island or the rest of Brevard County. Send us the address and you get a written, guaranteed price — no walk-through, and the same background-checked W-2 crew each visit.
