Sanibel is a barrier island city in Lee County, reachable only by the Sanibel Causeway, renowned worldwide for shelling, the J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge, a strict ban on high-rise buildings and — famously — no traffic lights. The housing spans mid-century beach cottages and former fishing camps to high-end Gulf-front and bay-front homes, much of it historically serving the vacation-rental market. Hurricane Ian made a near-direct hit in September 2022, causing catastrophic damage island-wide, and rebuilding is still underway — many structures have been substantially reconstructed or elevated with fresh tile, LVT and cabinetry, with post-construction dust lingering in HVAC returns and trim. Gulf salt exposure is constant and genuine: ocean-facing glass, slider tracks, screen enclosures and metal hardware accumulate salt continuously, and the island's width means the salt-laden air reaches bay-front and interior homes as well. Proximity to the J.N. "Ding" Darling refuge adds humidity and organic debris pressure on lanai-facing surfaces. Occupancy is seasonally concentrated from late fall through spring. Marco and the Captain Duster team were awesome! They did all the small things right… The appointment was scheduled for 10am and they were here at 10am sharp! The inside of my oven and kitchen sink have never been so clean… Everything looked amazing and I can't wait for them to come back. I would 100% recommend them to friends and family.
I have had one deep cleaning & one regular cleaning. Everything went well. The customer service was superb, and the cleaning was great. I have signed up for a weekly cleaning. No hesitation on recommending them. The cleaner showed up on time, and was not on her phone. I had a problem with that in the past. The cleaners also spoke english so that was fabulous. No communication problems. 🥇

I have had Captain Duster twice one for a deeper cleaning and today for a monthly cleaning. Alyssa is very thorough and may I add warm and friendly. I have Italian tile floors throughout which I am constantly going over at least every other day. They were a breeze to communicate with and I loved that I could get an estimate quickly and easily via text and email. I had a bathroom renovation and was overwhelmed with the thought of cleaning all the dust in my bedroom and bath. I called Captain Duster who sent Tamara and let me tell you, she was truly a Godsend! She cleaned every square inch of my bed and bath and took all my worries away! I will use Captain Duster and request Tamara again!
